Be aware of your heart’s condition before drinking an energy drink. They can cause heart contractions that can be deadly for people with existing conditions.
- Type 2 diabetes
On average energy drinks have around 30 grams of sugar in just one serving; the more you drink daily the more likely you are to get Type 2 diabetes.
- High blood pressure
A 16 oz. bottle of energy drink will raise your blood pressure substantially, so always be careful and not go overboard with it.
- Insomnia
Energy drinks are made to keep you awake, which in return can cause you to miss out on much needed sleep, giving you impaired functioning.
- Addiction
Addiction can cause you to be unable to function without an energy drink.
- Increased Anxiety, Jitters, and Nervousness
Drinking too much caffeine can trigger panic attacks.
- Vomiting
Vomiting causes your teeth to erode from the acid in your stomach, which is something no one wants.
- Headaches and migraines
Caffeine withdrawal symptoms can occur after consuming too many energy drinks giving you a painful headache.
