Making a splash in South Georgia for 35 years, The Pool Store started out building pools for clients at one location in Valdosta and has grown drastically, now providing solutions for a wide variety of outdoor entertaining needs with an additional location in Thomasville. After 20 years in its current Valdosta location, the flagship store has undergone some major renovation. Upgrades include new flooring, a repainted interior, a refinished roof, new cabinets, and new displays. Additionally, a new wrap around porch and tin roof have given the store’s exterior an entirely new look.
The updated storefront aims to provide customers with a comfortable, at-home feel, promoting The Pool Store’s ability to provide a comprehensive supply of backyard amenities. Popular products expand far beyond swimming pools to include hot tubs, grills, swing sets, play equipment, patio furniture, and much more. Regional Business Manager David Jennings believes the new renovations will help to serve the company’s overall efforts to help each customer create his or her own backyard paradise.
“People are noticing the changes, and they like what they see,” Jennings said. “We’re getting lots of attention from repeat customers and new ones alike. People who have never shopped with us before are stopping in and finding that we have more to offer than meets the eye.”
The expert staff helps each customer to create a personalized oasis by staying up-to-date on the current trends and providing the ultimate variety of outdoor supplies. The market for backyard embellishments currently includes much more than swimming pools. Outdoor kitchens and luxe lounging have gained popularity alongside fire bowls and pits, which, when paired together, create an elaborate yet comfortable environment.
Jennings, who has worked his way up in the business over the last 12 years, believes that the renovations, which showcase the company’s ability to help create or expand the ideal home haven, are a testament of the company’s long-standing ability to serve the residents of South Georgia and its commitment to continuing efforts to do so. In addition to helping shoppers to create their own outdoor retreats, the knowledgeable staff can help customers to diagnose and correct issues, a service not typically provided by most big box retail stores. The team prides itself on providing excellent customer service, offering pool and spa maintenance and weekly cleaning services in addition to its numerous high quality products. Exceptional service has earned The Pool Store the honor of receiving The Valdosta Daily Times’ customer-voted Best Pool Company award for 10 years running. Jennings is proud of the progress made in the last few decades and is optimistic about the future.
“We’re always looking for ways to expand our ability to serve our customers, and we’re excited to see what the future holds,” Jennings said.
