Archbold Outpatient Rehabilitation is home to a full range of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, including a sports medicine program that caters to scholar athletes and active community members.
“Our clinic is the only one in the area that has all of these services under one roof,” said Jami Stephenson, OTR/L, CHT, director of Archbold Outpatient Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. “We also have dry needling therapy and certified hand therapy that includes custom splint and orthotic fabrication.”
“Right now, the facility we have is just over 5,800 square feet. Our new building will be about 12,000 square feet and in a much better location for patients.”

Even with all these services, Archbold is expanding the outpatient rehabilitation program and building a new facility on East Pinetree Boulevard.
“Right now, the facility we have is just over 5,800 square feet,” said Mark Lowe, vice president of planning and marketing at Archbold Medical Center. “Our new building will be about 12,000 square feet and in a much better location for patients.”
The new facility will include a pool for aquatic therapy, which can be easier on joints than land therapy and help patients with pain or weight loss before and after surgery.
“Patients can do exercises in water they wouldn’t be able to do on land,” Stephenson said. “It will be the only facility in the area that offers aquatic therapy.”
The larger space will allow staff to perform more computer-assisted testing on athletes recovering from injuries. The addition of stairs in the new facility will also enable people to train for real-world situations after an injury or surgery.
“It’s easy to overlook, but it’s important to know if patients can get in and out of a house with stairs in the entryway,” Stephenson said.
